Take a scenic flight along the Front Range Northbound towards Laramie, then head SW (200 deg off the Laramie VOR - 117.6). That way you’ll stay low and see the mountains without flying over them, as well as get a view of lakes, sand dunes and all the other cool things those people in cars never see.
